Announcement of the World Construction Championship holding date

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities has conducted the proceedings of the World Construction Championship organizing committee. This session was chaired by the Minister, Mr. Irek Faizullin and general director of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, Mr. Alexey Likhachev. In the course of the proceedings there were announced the dates of Championship final competitions: from April, 20th till April, 23rd, 2021.

«Labor efficiency improving is one of the most important tasks, which face our industry. This is the reason why we have decided to hold the World Construction Championship. Such events gather high-end human resources, which the industry lacks especially due to the challenging conditions caused by the new coronavirus disease. Aggregation of the world construction community within the united venue and experience exchange will not only improve the competency level, but also favor international cooperation environment.» Noted the Minister, Mr. Irek Faizullin.

The head of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, Mr. Alexey Likhachev has spoken about widespread international support of the Championship.

In particular, the CIS Executive Committee has integrated the Championship into the plan of realization of the CIS member cities cross-border cooperation concept till 2030.

Besides, leading construction companies from Belarus, Egypt, and Turkey are going to take part in the Championship. Foreign speakers will make their reports within he business program.

Our base and experience of professional competitions arrangement will help us to host the event of the global level. Without overstating it, we can say that this new Championship is going to become the landmark presentation of Russia, as one of the leading constructional empire and preface the International Labor Day, which is eagerly awaited by each of us.

As for discussion of the application matter, the Championship organizers announced about their readiness to allocate quotas to allow individual persons taking part in the event.

The head of World Construction Championship project, director of the industrial construction complex development in Rosatom’s CEMCP, Mr. Andrey Golovanov has put forward an initiative on involving of independent specialists. They will have the opportunity to join competitions in Championship nominations on the same basis as participating companies’ representatives.

In his turn, deputy general director of Autonomous Nonprofit Organization «RSV», Mr. Alexey Agafonov has noted, that the platform was ready to provide methodological and media support to the project.

Championship safety issue referring to the epidemiologic situation in Sochi was also raised during the meeting. Organizers’ representatives provided assurance that all safety measures would be taken during all Championship events. Taking part in the Championship is only available for those participants, who hold negative Covid-19 PCR-reports or vaccination certificates.

The head of the construction Department of the Krasnodar Territory, Mr. Vladimir Varekha spoke about full-scale support of the Championship to be ensured by Administration of the Krasnodar Territory.

The World Construction Championship was established by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation in February, 2020. The event is purposed for expansion of economic integration of Russia and EEU countries within the sphere of industrial construction.

The Championship is supported by leading companies and organizations as follows: Rosatom, RusHydro, Sibur Holding, TMK, Roscosmos, VSK, RZD, Eurasian Economic Commission, CIS Executive Committee, Autonomous Nonprofit Organization «RSV», and the youth social agency «Russian students’ teams».
