The XLIII proceedings of the intergovernmental panel on cooperation in the construction industry are finished

The XLIII Proceedings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Cooperation in the Construction Industry has been conducted as part of the World Construction Championship under the chairmanship of Mr. Irek Faizullin, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation. The event has engaged representatives of the friendly countries: Uzbekistan, Armenia, Qazaqstan, Azerbaijan, and the Republic of Belarus.

Within the current conditions, one of the main goals refers to development of the coordinated policy, uniting of efforts related to stabilization and further development of the construction industry, and coordination of CIS states’ construction sectors, including the development of cooperation within construction engineering surveys, design activities, architectural works, production of building materials, items, and structures, and other spheres. Meanwhile, one of the most important directions still refers to arrangement of the single CIS countries’ legal construction zone by formation and improvement of the regulatory base.

The proceedings involved the departmental managers responsible for realization of urban policies in the CIS member countries. The meeting raised the topics of interstate cooperation in the construction industry, in particular: improvement of the pricing system, development strategy, elaboration of the state management system, perspectives of development of interstate documents, and participation of the Union’s countries in realization of the CIS Economic Development Strategy till 2030.

The Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, Mr. Irek Faizullin, welcomed the event members.

“I am glad to welcome the delegations of the Union’s countries at the 43rd proceedings of the Intergovernmental Panel. Our countries actively cooperate to each other referring to many directions at the levels of Ministries and our expert agencies. In order to arrange further productive cooperation within the current proceedings, we need to draw the vector for the ongoing activities.”

During their speeches, the proceedings members shared the latest information on realization of the policies regarding construction, architecture, and urban planning, as well as the plants related to further development. Reports referred to the activities of the Base institution of CIS member states within anti-seismic construction and improvement of the construction pricing system.

“The questions that are topical today are topical for each executive body regulating the construction industry. First of all, it means changes occurring in our counties and further changes in the regulatory control. We need to share our experience and work out the approaches of further cooperation here.”
