Ken Yeang, Fyodor and Oscar Konyukhovs are the ambassadors of the world construction championship

До финала III Международного строительного чемпионата в Санкт-Петербурге остается меньше двух недель. Организаторами мероприятия выступили Минстрой России, Госкорпорация «Росатом», президентская платформа «Россия – страна возможностей», ПАО «Газпром» и Правительство Санкт-Петербурга. Событие пройдёт с 17 по 20 октября на площадке конгрессно-выставочного центра «ЭКСПОФОРУМ» в Санкт-Петербурге.

On 18th and 19th of October, the World Construction Championship III will present open lead-offs of its ambassadors: the architect, ecologist, and head of Malaysian architecture bureau T. R. Hamzah & Yeang, Mr. Ken Yeang; and popular traveler, writer, and artist, Mr. Fyodor Konyukhov accompanied by his son, Oscar, who is the head of the expeditionary headquarters.

Ken Yeang is best known for his special “green” architecture and for authoring books on environmental design and green skyscraper design, including “Eco Skyscrapers”, “Reinventing the Skyscraper: A Vertical Theory of Urban Design”, and “The Green Skyscraper: The Basis for Designing Sustainable Intensive Buildings”. At the Championship, he will read a lecture dedicated to architecture and it’s good for the planet. In today's world, where sustainability and environmental issues are becoming increasingly important, architecture and construction play a key role in shaping a sustainable future for our planet. Speaking engagement will take place on 18th of October; and is intended for anyone interested in the environmental impact of construction projects.

The open performance of Fyodor Konyukhov, who is famous for more than 25 records in the field of navigation and aeronautics, mountaineering and solo treks in the Arctic and Antarctic zones, where his son Oscar Konyukhov was the permanent head of all expedition headquarters, will be held within the World Construction Championship venue on 19th of October. In 2023, they are celebrating 25 years of joint work in organizing and conducting unique expeditions. The key topic of the lecture will also be devoted to ecology – the Konyukhovs will talk about cleaning our planet from garbage, as well as about Fyodor's plans to make the first ever solo crossing of the Pacific Ocean on a catamaran running on solar energy, to study water pollution by micro-plastic particles. In addition, on 5th October, Igor Voloshin's film “The Lord of the Wind” (age limit: 12+) about the senior Konyukhov’s record-breaking journey in a hot air balloon was released in theaters.
