3 months left before the World construction championship iii to take place in Saint Petersburg, Russia

Three months are left until the opening of the World Construction Championship III organized by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation; Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation; “Russia, the Opportunity Country”, Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization (ANCO); Gazprom, PJSC; and Saint Petersburg Government. The event will be held at the EXPOFORUM Exhibition and Convention Center in St. Petersburg from 17 till 20 of October.

The theme of the Championship-2023 is represented by new age technologies. It is the new technologies and technological transformation that will connect all realized events of the World Construction Championship III on one platform, which will become a place to gather not only experts and specialists, but also international delegations. The Organizing Committee chaired by Mr. Irek Faizullin, the Minister Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation; has invited experts representing government authorities, business and science from around 40 countries, which are members of CIS, SCO, BRICS, EAEU, ASEAN, to join the event.

The business program of the World Construction Championship III will provide space to discuss important issues in several key areas of the construction industry and the economy in general: accelerated development strategy, scientific developments, youth policy and human resources, international cooperation, business and government relations, regional track and introduction of new technologies.

A record population of participants is expected to be involved to the final part of the Championship: about 1,000 contestants from Russia and foreign countries, as well as about 350 experts, who will evaluate their skills. Competitions of professional constructors are represented by 25 individual and team nominations, which are divided into 3 blocks - construction, design and project management. The prize fund will amount to over 53 million rubles.

“The World Construction Championship is the largest construction event not only in Russia, but also in the world, which gathers and brings together all participants involved in the implementation of construction projects represented by federal and regional authorities, large state corporations, small and medium-sized businesses, financial institutions, development institutions, and young people. One of the features of the World Construction Championship 2023 will be the presentation of a multimedia exhibition dedicated to the achievements and development of the construction industry.” Said Mr. Andrey Golovanov, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the World Construction Championship III, and Director of development of the industry construction complex and Head of the Office of qualifications and communications in the construction complex of Rosatom’s CEMCP.

One of the main objectives of the Championship is to traditionally increase productivity of industrial construction through the introduction of advanced management and organizational practices. Therefore, a significant part of nominations is focused on representatives of this construction sector. New direction of the World Construction Championship III will be represented by house construction.

This year, the Championship traditionally plays the role of a functional social lift not only for established professional constructors and students of special universities and colleges, but also for school students. The School League represented by 8-10th grade students will try its power at the construction industry for the first time, and nomination winners will get cash prizes, as well as additional USE scores, and a trip within Russia as part of the program named “More Than a Journey”.

The venue will also place the interactive exposition space to enable leading industrial companies, as well as small and medium businesses, to demonstrate modern construction technologies and know-hows.
